Prince Andrew once flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet with a former Miss Russia, who ended up in a very public fight with drug addiction, a report on Saturday said.
Andrew, the Duke of York, then 38, took a flight on Epstein’s plane from St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands to Florida on Feb. 12 1999, The Sunday Times of London reported, citing court documents. Also on board was Anna Malova, 27, then a model, who once competed in the Miss Universe pageant when it was owned by President Trump, the outlet said.
That flight is two years earlier than the 2001 flight previously described in documents submitted as part of a civil case by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who was photographed at age 17 with Andrew’s arm around her waist.
Giuffre claimed in the case, filed in 2015, that she had been recruited as Epstein’s sex slave and was forced to have sex with the prince in London, New York and on Epstein’s private island just northeast of St. Thomas, which locals dubbed “pedophile island.”
Details from the document trove in Giuffre’s case were released Aug. 9, one day before Epstein hanged himself in his cell at a Manhattan lock-up, where he was awaiting trial on a series of sex-trafficking charges.
The judge in that Giuffre’s threw out claims against Prince Andrew because they were “immaterial and impertinent to the central claim” against Epstein, the Times reported.
Andrew has repeatedly denied that he had any sexual contact with Giuffre, and on Saturday, claimed he never saw any suspect behavior while he was with Epstein.
The prince also issued his royal regrets for continuing his relationship with Epstein after the money manager was convicted in 2010 of soliciting prostitution from a minor, and said he has “tremendous sympathy” for the victims.
