Question:What did you do to those sprites? I mean, they don't work very well in winmugen (lower quality), but from the looks of it you downscaled them even further.I'm sorry, but if you can make HR/HD sprites look unappealing, then that's not good.
Maybe a little, or a lot, of coloring will make out the sprites better. Cause I don't really know what I'm seeing. Well, I can't really make it out.
...ooh.Looks like a .5 resize outside of MUGEN + CNS downscaling....I know you were trying to use Ares' palette before, cyan, but you may just have to make a new one from one of Nu's sprites. If you can get your hands on Photoshop or the GIMP, it'll take like ten seconds tops. And like I said in your other topic in development help, you should really, REALLY think about developing this for 1.0 instead of WinMUGEN so that you DON'T have to size everything down.
Alright, alright. I can take a hint. How is this?Edit: is it just me or does she seem too tall?edit 2: This seems juuuust right.
That's better. About the height, change her size to your liking. But 1.0 is a way better improvement for an HD char, as said before. I'm looking foward to the finished product.
Yes, much. Didn't mean to nag you, really--just tryin' to help out.Just curious, though--did you set a localcoord value in your DEF at all? It could affect things like walking speed and the like.
Alright, check out the first test video. Keep in mind Ive been working on this for like 5 hours total, maybe even less.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7aH2Cnpmwk
Looks OK so far--word of advice, make sure that the onion skinning is on while you're adding sprites so that you can do aligning properly, the crouch looked a little jittery (though it may have just been me). Also, do you have the 0.5 scale still on in the CNS? (My eyes are bad, so it looks like it to me even if it's not.)
rukifellth said, May 02, 2010, 09:15:32 pmWell I'd love to see her for old mugen too...It could be possible but with some graphical downgrade. That said, that Jin that Seraph Ares made did look okay in normal MUGEN.
Going by what Ares did, I believe he kept the sprites at the same size and set it to .34 xscale and yscale in his CNS file.I would assume you could do the same to Nu and make it look fine in Regular Mugen.
I won't switch back to normal MUGEN. I might port her, or open source her so someone else can port her (most likely the latter).

Of course, some lifebars might not look correct, but there's plenty of fucntional lifebars out there that do look correct under Doubleres = 4. Also good luck on Nu and all that.
