Ihuoma Sonia Uche, renowned for her dynamic presence in the world of Nollywood, is not only an accomplished actor but also the CEO of Premium Pictures Studios and Sonia Luxury Hair Extensions.

With a rich background in education and a profound passion for the arts, she has been making waves in the Nigerian entertainment landscape.

Education and Early Life:
Sonia’s educational journey began at Anioboshi Primary School in Ibusa, Delta State, where she earned her First School Leaving certificate. She continued her education at St. Augustine’s College, Ibusa, for her junior secondary education. Later, she pursued a Bachelor of Agriculture degree at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, and completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2018 in Abuja.

A Star Is Born:
Sonia’s journey into the world of acting commenced in 2012, but her commitment to her education led her to temporarily step away from the industry. However, her passion for acting remained unwavering. After completing her service year in 2018, she made a triumphant return to Nollywood, marking five years of dedicated full-time engagement in the industry.

Sonia attributes much of her success to her mother, Uche Nancy, who served as her mentor and guide. Uche Nancy’s invaluable teachings played a pivotal role in shaping Sonia’s career.

A Glittering Career:
Sonia has amassed an impressive portfolio of acting roles, with some of her most memorable experiences including her breakthrough role in “Frank’s Wife,” where she portrayed a naive village girl, and “Beauty of Karma,” a touching portrayal of a stepdaughter facing adversity. Her commitment to her craft often led her to challenging scenes, one of which resulted in a memorable incident involving a fall with firewood during filming.

The Journey into Nollywood:
Sonia’s fascination with acting began in her childhood, watching movies with her father and aspiring to be like iconic actress Genevieve Nnaji. Her foray into Nollywood was driven by her passion for storytelling and her desire to breathe life into diverse characters and narratives on screen.

A Visionary Producer:
As the founder of Premium Pictures Studios, Sonia’s vision is to create high-quality, culturally rich content that can compete globally. She aims to provide a platform for talented filmmakers and storytellers, nurturing their creative visions and delivering unique stories to audiences worldwide.

Balancing Act:
Juggling roles as an actor, producer, and entrepreneur is no easy feat, but Sonia’s dedication and love for her businesses, including Sonia Luxury Hair Extensions, motivate her to keep going. Her commitment to prioritizing based on urgency and importance, along with her dedicated team, help her maintain focus and organization.

A Bright Future:
Sonia’s vision for her career and businesses is one of continuous growth and impact. She aspires to expand Sonia Luxury Hair Extensions into new markets and to make a lasting positive mark on the entertainment industry.

Getting to Know Sonia:
Beyond her professional pursuits, Sonia shares a glimpse into her early life, originally from Abia State but born in Rivers State.
