Call of Duty 4 New Maps Error

This is really frustrating.

I just downloaded the 1.7 patch but cannot play on the new maps!

Whenever I try to play on Creek, Broadcast, or Chinatown, I get an error. For example, if i try to play on creek, I get this:

mp_creek.ff is different from server

Is anyone else getting this????

Please help me

Nope, worked just fine for me. Did you already try to re-install and download the patch again?

you can put it back later.


applications/call of duty 4/call of duty 4 data/players/profiles

if you save the whole folder you should be ok

I already installed it again, and patched it up again, and it still won't work

I'll download the whole patch again.. Maybe it downloaded incorrectly? Can you guys give me the link to the page where you downloaded the patch?

(I have the box version.... not the downloaded version of the game)

I reinstalled. Downloaded the patch again. AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. Gah!!!

where did you get the box version. i remember something about an early release one that was having problems.

BTW, I found something out, that will hopefully help out.

In the folder where all the maps are, i saw that the new maps had a different skin than the rest.... they had a black skin and said something like exe on the image.

Maybe I downloaded the wrong one again?

thats what i have. and there seems to be 2 files for each map all ending in .ff

Yeah, that was exactly what I was thinking. I have been talking to a cousin about this - his version works perfectly (he got the digital download, though). And I'll ask for his updated map pack files if it doesn't work.

(BTW, it should work if he's got the digital and ive got the boxed, right?) And should I just ask for the new map pack?
