Orchids – the most precious of the flower shop

As a florist, we not only sell the plant – we also produce bouquets and floral compositions from orchids

Phalaenopsis (the Malay flower)

Phalaenopsis amabilis is probably the best-known and most popular orchid, if not even a plant.

With its many colors, varieties and blossoms, there are many residential and business areas.

We also try to offer a Swiss product.

Swiss orchids are usually cultivated more slowly and enjoy a longer flowering and life.

The most common and most famous species of Vanda is V. rhotschildiana. It is very decorative and available in different colors.

The orchid, which originates from Southeast Asia, enjoys high humidity. At home in a glass cylinder, this has the effect as a small greenhouse and can evaporate there water, which settles on the ground.

Vandas are also very popular cut flowers because of their durability.

The most beautiful vandas can be found on the flower markets of Bangkok.

Vandopsis are generally traded on average and come from Malaysia or Thailand. You can meet them regularly in the decorations of the hotels.

Cattleya

The species named after William Cattley comes from South America. The epiphytically growing orchids form thickened pseudobulps and therefore often act like small plant sculptures.

Their colorful, multi-faceted palette and different flower sizes make Cattleyas popular. Cattleyas are warm-loving and can then also unfold their often sweet scent.
