This unique terrarium has two plants: Tillandsia melanocrater tricolor, Tillandsia tectorum (rare) and Tillandsia Butzii . Every part of it is handcrafted from the beginning to the end. It will add the perfect decorative touch to your house, office, or patio.

The base of the terrarium is made of cholla and old cypress driftwood.

Cholla is a cactus found in the desert SW and Northern Mexico. After several years, old wood naturally dies and can be removed from the plants. After an intensive cleaning and removal of the thorns, we are left with a unique product.

More about your plants:

Tillandsia tectorum is one of the most exquisite species. The trichomes are so large and such a bright white! The inflorescence is purple with astor-violet blooms the whole of which contrasts well with the white, fuzzy leaves.

Tillandsia Melanocrater Tricolor is a delicate air plant with a brown base. The plant changes color depending on how much sun exposure it receives: it turns red or purple with a lot of bright sunlight, and bright to dark green with less sunlight.

Tillandsia butzii: A distinctive air plant with a bulbous base. It is blue-green to silver and speckled with a lovely, lizardy pattern. This species has curly leaves. The curls tighten when the plant is dehydrated.

Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is not a  true moss, but rather an epiphytic flowering plant that often grows upon larger trees in tropical and subtropical climates

Terrarium Care:

Light requirements:  Do not expose to direct sunlight. Pick your spot and do not change it often. For best results choose a bright location for your terrarium.
Watering:  When grown indoors, air plants will need to be watered regularly. Mist your plants with distilled or rain water three times per week. Submerge in water for 1 hour once a week.
Temperature: The ideal temperature for air plants is between 50-80 °F.
Fertilizing: Not needed
