I'm trying to keep these out of the landfill and get them to folks that may need them.

I have OEM and third party batteries for vintage Nikon D1 series cameras (D1, D1x, D1h). The third party battery holds enough charge for 30 to 40 images. The OEM Nikon batteries are dead as a door knob and will not hold a charge at all.

That said, there are DIY instructions online and independent technicians that are refurbing these with new Ni-MH cells, and also modding these with new Li-Ion cells for 100x increase in battery life and faster charging.

This is also a solution if you have a shelf queen collectable and you want the OEM Nikon battery cover/latch that came with the EN-4 battery pack.
