Flower Size

Found in southeastern Yunnan China and northern Vietnam on wooded limestone hills at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a warm growing epiphyte with 4 to 6, distichous, coriaceous, oblong to narrowly elliptic, acute to obtuse at the asymetric apex, light green mottled dark green above, pale purple beneath leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6" [15 cm] long, provided with a single tubular, acute bract, single flowered inflorescence carrying a flower that has a light floral scent.

Similar to P malipoense but P jackii differs in the pale purple beneath the leaves, the light floral scent instead of raspberry and most important the different staminode with its truncated diamond shape, more elongated, and squared off at the base and lacks the deep groove at the apex
