Common Name or Meaning Rodigas' Catasetum [Rolfe's colleague on Lindenia in 1800's]

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in Santa Catarina state of Brazil in the coastal Atlantic Forest as a medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with fusiform to subconical, curved pseudobulbs carrying 6, elliptic-lanceolate to oblanceolate, plicate, 3 nerved leaves that blooms in the spring on a pendant, to 20" [50 cm] long, 18 to 24 flowered inflorescence holding the flowers towards the apical half.
