Found in Bahia state of Brazil at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a reptant rhizome giving rise to teragonal, rugose, yellow pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, yellow green, coriaceous, oblong, acute leaf that blooms in the summer on a curved, flexuous, yeelow, peduncle enveloped by amplexicaul, persistent, membraneous bracts, rachis to 8 to 10” [20 to 25 cm] long, to 20” [50 cm] long overall, alternating distally, densely, successively 15, to 40+ flowered inflorescence with persistent, membraneous, triangular, acute, floral bracts.
