Default Cattleya Sea Breeze

This one is a very nice "blue catt" (or supposed to be blue); a primary hybrid, between two Brazilian Catts: C. walkeriana and C. warneri (both coeluleas). It is small like a walkeriana and easy to grow as a labiata (if the opposite occurs, it would be terrible!). Flowers with intermediate size, but scentless! (mother & father have delicious perfume).
Florália (a Brazilian nursery) is selling now an alba Sea Breeze, a nice idea!

Beautiful Frederico? I wonder why if both parents have fragrance, why it doesn't?

A beautiful flower on a healthy, happy plant! It is baffling that it has no scent, though. hmmm.

I love the color!! Gorgeous! It's a shame about the lack of fragrance though

Are you checking for fragrance all throughout the day, or only at a certain time every day? I know I've had catts that were fragrant only at mid-morning, or another limited time of day.

That's a beauty but it just looks like it should be fragrant

Oooops!

The correct cross for C. Sea Breeze is C. walkeriana coerulea x C. warneri coerulea! A clear 'freudian slip', 'cause I can't see any difference between these two catts! In my view, both are 'labiatas' (as in its former names, "C. labiata autumnalis" and "C. labiata warneri") in process of allopatric speciation, but they are still the same species. Perhaps in more 10,000 or 20,000 years they will became separated species, but for now....
PS: this is only my point of view!
