In pictures: Concept artist Craig Mullins
Discovery

Mullins has worked as a matte painter on films such as the final two Matrix movies and is working as a concept artist on the film version of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, currently in pre-production.

"It means my work will be ignored and replaced," he jokes. Mullins says his role is to be a "sounding board, fresh blood".

This image is a personal piece imagining the notion of discovery. "It is not historically accurate at all. Hopefully accurate to the spirit, though."
