Vanda brunnea is an species in the genus Vanda. It blooms in Spring. The Shaode Plant Garden of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) is a sea of orchids in Spring.  Vanda brunnea is in full bloom in March.

 

Vanda brunnea  plants are found growing in the forest of India, Myanamar, Thailand and Yunnan China t elevations of 800 to 1550 meters. They are best grown hanged in baskets and on mounted and require bright to full sunlight and cool to warm temperatures. If hunged the roots must be watered frequently. They should be grown in media that is well drained such as tree fern fibers (for small plants), several pieces of coarse fir bark, or sphagnum moss.
